MARYELLEN
LURIE
Maryellen
Lurie has more than 20 years of management and human resource
experience. Prior to establishing herself as an HRD consultant,
she held senior training and management positions with Blessing/White,
Gucci, Kelly Services, and Estée Lauder. Maryellen's
background enables her to effectively align training initiatives
with business strategies.
In
1993, Maryellen founded the consulting firm, Maryellen Lurie
& Associates, Inc. (ML&A, Inc.). Today, ML&A,
Inc. is an internationally recognized company with a multi-industry,
Fortune 1000 client list. As the principal of ML&A, Inc,
she heads a team of professionals who provide a variety of
services including consulting; executive coaching; needs assessment;
program design and development; meeting management and facilitation;
train-the-trainer workshops; and training program implementation.
Well
known for her platform skills and expertise in facilitation,
Maryellen is equally strong in instructional design and development.
She has developed several new programs and facilitated workshops
for more than 100,000 participants. Described by her clients
as "the gold standard for consultants," she takes
a practical, results-oriented approach to every project.
In
1994, Maryellen partnered with Samuel J. Samaro, Esq. to develop
Productive
and Respectful Workplaces, a program designed to help
organizations reduce employer liability from all types of
harassment. Productive and Respectful Workplaces has consistently
received praise from clients for being "informative,"
"thought-provoking," "interactive," and
"effective." Recently, she developed the program
"Respect as a Business Imperative," which trains
executives to manage within the law. Respect
as a Business Imperative has been successfully delivered
to thousands of managers at a leading financial services company.
As
a Senior Associate in Product Management and Education for
Blessing/White, Maryellen facilitated executive-level pilots,
workshops, and instructor certification programs for more
than 150 client organizations including Motorola; Procter
& Gamble; The World Bank; Shell Oil; Merck & Co.;
AT&T; Hewlett-Packard; SmithKline Beecham; Dow Corning;
NASA; Merrill Lynch; Hallmark Cards; Royal Bank of Canada;
NYSE; Anheuser-Busch; DuPont; and Metropolitan Life Insurance.
She was also responsible for developing the Exceeding Customer
Expectations workshop and facilitator certification program
and for revising Fast Start, Managing Personal Growth, and
Peer Coaching.
